As the Manager, SEO you will be responsible for overseeing a team of SEO specialists and will help translate client’s business goals into SEO strategies. You will drive and execute SEO initiatives including technical on-page optimizations, keyword management and analysis, and content strategy recommendations for key stakeholders. If you strive to be in a client facing role while leveraging your SEO knowledge to manage campaigns from conception to execution, you’ll fit right in!
What is expected of a SEO Manager?
You’ll evangelize the role of SEO for brand and business growth and translate this into real-world practices and applications.
Delegate efficiently and manage SEO specialists in the development and execution of effective plans for clients.
Analyze data from web analytics tools to create actionable SEO plans.
Conduct monthly client calls to discuss campaigns, as needed.
Perform technical SEO Audits of client websites.
Identify configuration and duplicate content issues and recommend remedies.
Day-to-day client relationship management.
Stay abreast of algorithm updates and adjust strategy and client communication.
Writing and editing blog/body copy content for our clients.
Desired Skills and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience with 3-4 years of SEO experience – agency side preferred.
Excited to drive innovation through the success of SEO programs and a strong sense of urgency
Demonstrated knowledge of HTML and various CMS’s.
Hands-on experience with Google Analytics, Google Webmaster Tools, SEOmoz, Raven Tools, WordPress and similar CMS platforms.
Fluency in SEO core elements including but not limited to: On-page and Off-page tactics, site navigation and URL structure, internal linking structure, Meta Data, dynamic and static page templates, XML sitemaps, Canonical Tags, Structured Data/Schema, etc.).
Self-motivated and Detail Oriented.
Solid control of grammar, spelling and punctuation.
Extreme attention to detail and ability to maintain consistency.
Ability to prioritize workload and delegate tasks; manage projects within approved budgets and deadlines.
Ability to present and analyze data effectively and efficiently.
Strong interpersonal skill and ability to work well with a team.
Proficiency in HTML enhancements for better search engine visibility and technical optimization a big plus!
