Our client, a leading private school in Boston is looking for an entry-ish level social media person to join the Marketing team. They are essentially a tiny in-house agency supporting the school in all its communications and marketing initiatives. They are a standout brand in the space (so, very NOT your typical prep school type of environment) and they run more like a startup in that our entire approach to education and telling the story is through more of a modern day entrepreneurial lens. They have SO MUCH content (great problem to have) and need some additional resourcing to help us get it out there.
Entails covering the day to day of the school as a social media journalist. This means attending classes, presentations, events and capturing the best moments to tell our story. Curation, planning, solid social and design sense, and execution are super important skillsets to bring to the role. Obviously a deep understanding of how social media platforms work, along with coming up with new ideas to best leverage our content.
A strong familiarity with social media, storytelling, content planning and creation, general familiarity with Adobe suite or other similar product in order to create social media brand assets. A sense of humor and ability to go with the flow is a must, this is a fast paced environment full of incredibly smart funny creative students and teachers, we have to be ready to jump in and share their work through the lens of strengthening and building our brand in every interaction we create.
