Job Description

Vitamin T is working with a client outside of San Antonio Texas specializing in luxury and retail looking for an Photography Art Director. In this role the Photography Art Director conceives, develops, and produces engaging and informative creative solutions that appeal to consumer targets and support the marketing and advertising needs of the Company, in a style that is reflective of the Company's brand identity. You will also be responsible to monitor and create the development of seasonal strategies and provide implementation of them through the direction of photography and design of consumer catalogs and direct marketing materials; emails and site assets; social media and content; additional print, online, and broadcast advertisements; retail signage; as well as presentations, internal communications, and more. Responsibilities include supervisory duties of the Studio Manager and team. 


  • Develop seasonal strategies and implement them through photographic and design direction for seasonal campaigns including consumer catalogs and direct marketing materials; emails and site assets; social media and content; print, online, and broadcast advertisements; retail video and signage; as well as presentations, internal communications, company initiatives and more. 
  • Elevate product and lifestyle photography as well as design by developing new photographic and design styles. 
  • Create engaging and informative communications that satisfy strategies and are appropriate for the brand. 
  • Oversee Studio Manager/Producer and team, ensures all duties and timelines are met and communicating as expected. 
  • Provide daily team leadership and guidance toward project completion and success. Keep stakeholders apprised of timelines. 
  • Design and provides development of style guides and templates. 
  • Prepare presentation of concepts and provides executions to internal team and cross-departmental stakeholders. 
  • Identify resources – stylists, photographers, etc. -- appropriate for additional needs, with budget and timelines in mind. 
  • Works independently and collaboratively to develop and produce conceptual solutions. Makes necessary changes with a spirit of collaboration and cooperation. 
  • Successfully manages multiple projects simultaneously. 


  • Bachelor’s degree in Art, Graphic Design, Multimedia Communications, Photography or related field and three (3) to five (5) years’ experience as a professional with exposure in art, art direction, photo art direction, graphic design of both print and digital projects. Or equivalent education/experience. Must present a portfolio. 
  • Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite. 
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint. 
  • Advanced problem solving skills; diverse interpersonal skills, must be detail oriented, and analytical. Must be adaptable and must be able to listen without interruption.
