The Front-End Developer works on the Online Communications team, which partners with our Marketing, Communications, and IT teams to create user friendly digital experiences. The front-end developer will play an integral role in ensuring websites and digital platforms are built and evolve with the future in mind.

  • Must Have experience with .NET, REST APIs, Git 
  • Play a key role in web development for digital assets, primarily websites, from layout to function.
  • Build prototypes and responsive websites that adhere to design specs while also being functionally optimized.
  • Understand how to code for accessibility compliance.
  • Proactively assess situations and form necessary and timely solutions to achieve desired results.
  • Ensure UX/UI designs are technically sound and feasible.
  • Contribute to design system by creating reusable code and libraries for future use.
  • Develop new user-facing features that are optimized for maximum speed and scalability.
  • Validate user input before passing to back end developers.
  • Apply expert knowledge and administration expertise for related development software, including Content Management Systems.
  • Contribute to team projects as technical liaison and collaborator with business and IT partners.
  • Coordinate with design, content management, project management, and other project resources including IT and communications consultants.
  • Proactively contribute to requirements gathering, definition, and documentation. 
  • Solve needs by looking at the big picture and how it relates to the current project. 
  • Communicate effectively with business stakeholders and executive management.
  • Stay up-to-date on a variety of development trends, concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Knowledgeable in graphic editors and production, color theory, and animation.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Required:

  • Must Have experience with .NET, REST APIs, Git 
  • Proficient experience with: JavaScript, JQuery, HTML5, CSS3.
  • Adept at responsive, accessible design; best practices; grid frameworks; and brand compliance.
  • Skillful with Bootstrap, Flexbox, SASS, LESS, etc.
  • Ability to test and troubleshoot for cross-browser compatibility.
  • Creative, detail-oriented contributor who can propose sustainable solutions to business challenges.
  • Solid understanding of SEO best practices and how to adhere to them, including server-side configurations, canonicals, structured content, and SERPs.
  • Strong grasp of latest web techniques in security, state management, client-side storage, caching, bundling, etc.
  • Comfortable navigating Zeplin, Sketch, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Understanding of front- and back-end frameworks (AngularJS, ReactJS, MVC, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of the implications of embedding and connecting cloud and enterprise platforms and apps with secure and public websites.
  • Ability to act as key player in direct teams and larger cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with agile and waterfall methodology, with an understanding of how to apply each or create a hybrid approach based on project and client.
  • Passion for learning new technologies and skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication.

Preferred:

The following skills are highly desired:

  • Experience developing for Kentico and ADX Studio platforms.
  • Understanding of version control and how to implement and evolve a code repository.
  • Ability to assess current-day setup and move toward a more future-proof setup.
  • Understanding of CRM’s role in personalization for web content.
  • Understanding of marketing analytics tracking and retargeting tools.

 

Education and Experience:  

  • Bachelor’s degree or related experience
  • 3+ years related experience
