Job Description

Are you an enthusiastic designer unafraid to bring new ideas to the table? Financial company in downtown San Diego seeks motivated UI/Graphic Designer to work with Art Director, Graphic Designer and Account Managers to create bold, clean, innovative designs and provide creative and technical support to projects from digital to print. The UI/Graphic Designer will work on both new and existing components for company's web and mobile products. The UI/Graphic Designer will work onsite 40 hours per week for 13 weeks, then after that 16-20 hours/week in an ongoing fashion.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or similar

5+ years' experience in graphic and/or product design

3+ years' experience as UI designer, visual designer and had some UX experience

Skilled in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Bridge, Adobe Pro and Sketch

Strong conceptual and layout skills, with an eye for typography and color

Experience compositing images and formatting graphic assets for use online

Highly detail oriented and strong communication skills

Strong portfolio to be presented and defended during interview.

Hands-on experience creating wireframes, prototypes, storyboards, user flows, etc.

Strong understanding of current web and mobile design best practices, styles and methodologies

 

Responsibilities:

• Design responsive emails

• QA/Proof print material, product samples, mockups, press sheets, etc.

• Create project comps and mock-ups as needed

• Ensure aesthetics, color palette and artistic direction are consistent throughout online and offline materials

 

Nice to have skills:

• Understanding of basic front-end languages: HTML5, CSS3
