Job Description

We are looking for a Front-end Development Leader who will create amazing front-end work and custom, highly-converting e-commerce storefronts, as well as lead and mentor a team of Front-end Developers. You'll become an expert in conversion rate optimization - helping brands you know and love leverage data to accelerate revenue. You'll work directly with an award-winning creative team, account strategists and project managers to produce work you can be proud of for brands your friends have heard of.


  • Collaborate with e-commerce, project management, design and development leadership to drive technical strategy for your department
  • Work with development leads to ensure teams have a high-value, quality, and responsive development life cycle
  • Take responsibility for successful delivery against department KPIs
  • Make the high-level, critical technical decisions regarding the front-end UI of any site/application/project supported
  • Team development, including evolving team’s technical depth
  • Provides management and mentorship and the transfer of knowledge to fellow team members
  • Provide expert technical direction, communication, and feedback to other departments
  • Strong technical skill set – ability, willingness, and passion to roll up their sleeves and produce high-quality code
  • Strong business acumen/tech translator


What you'll need

  • 7+ years of professional relevant experience in the role building websites, the front-end interfaces of web applications, or the like
  • Advanced-to-expert knowledge of web standards, semantics, and advanced concepts such as asynchronous development, repeatable patterns, modular concepts
  • Experience leading & managing high-performance development teams
  • Semantic markup using HTML5
  • CSS through the use of pre-processors such as SASS, LESS, etc.
  • Advanced debugging and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with build tools (Grunt, Gulp, NPM, Bower, Webpack)
  • Experience with version control tools (Git)
  • Expert ability to scope and timeline a technical front-end project with the understanding and ability to gather the necessary inputs on their own
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies
  • Experience developing on Shopify a BIG PLUS. WooCommerce or Magento is also a HUGE PLUS.
