Job Description

Our client, an award-winning stock trading idea platform, is looking for a stellar Financial Product Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. 

Start Date: as soon as the right fit is found

Duration: Direct Hire / Permanent position

Location: Philadelphia, PA

Must Haves: 

+ experience innovating and driving product development from concept to successful release, particularly with new investing or stock analytics software products

+ at least 7+ years of total working experience; with 5+ years experience as a technical PM with successful launches to market 

+ extensive knowledge of the financial services product landscape​ a HUGE plus!

While many of the core responsibilities of the Software Product Manager's role revolve around product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle; this role drives conceptualizing a business need and the product(s) (or product enhancements) needed to address it by gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, ensuring the requirements are sufficiently defined as to be actionable, validating that software deliverables satisfy the requirements, and working closely with engineering, sales, marketing, and support. The Financial Product Manager ensures that the products support the company’s overall strategy and goals. 

This role drives innovation in a rapidly-changing, dynamic organization. The Financial Product Manager must be skilled at managing competing demands and shifting priorities with assurance. The successful candidate possesses extensive knowledge of the financial services product landscape, sufficient to be comfortable working alongside one of the leaders in the field of stock technical analysis. 


The Software ​Product Manager is Expected To:

  • Work with company leadership to define the product strategy and roadmap
  • Deliver requirements documents with prioritized features and corresponding justification  
  • Develop and execute user acceptance criteria for release candidates 
  • Test and evaluate the presentation and use of data and content associated with company products 
  • Assist in the development, analysis, and testing of new content / intellectual property 
  • Troubleshoot issues as they arise 
  • Have a high-level understanding of technology and databases 
  • Possess excellent presentation skills that clearly convey product strategy to partners, management, and potential investors, regarding outlines for your plan to achieve objectives and the identification of potential risk and opportunities
  • Serve as a strong advocate of the product to potential partners and investors 


Requirements 

  • at least 7+ years of total working experience 
  • 5+ years experience as a Financial Product Manager with successful launches to market 
  • Demonstrated success defining and launching excellent financial / technology products 
  • Financial markets knowledge (including understanding of common technical analysis indicators) 
  • Excellent analytical-reasoning and problem-solving skills 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Ability to work independently 
  • Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to inspire your fellow team members ​
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams 
  • Detail oriented 
  • Successful experience in strategic product planning 
  • Ability to complete financial analysis to model the products cost and potential margins 
  • Background in computer programming / web technologies / UX or UI design is a plus 
  • Bachelor’s degree, advanced degree a plus
