This position is a short-term, onsite contract position for 3-4 months that will begin immediately. The communications specialist assists the corporate communications manager with formulating and implementing communications strategies and tactics to advance the company’s business objectives with internal audiences. This position reports to the corporate communications manager.
Serve as primary point of contact for message development and communication planning of department-specific initiatives.
Develop, execute, manage and monitor internal communications programs and strategic communications targeting employees including announcements, reports, presentations, flyers, brochures, ads and content for the company’s intranet site and digital signs.
Participate as part of the editorial team to identify, write and edit feature articles that promote company strategy, culture, initiatives, accomplishments, awards and employee achievements.
Develop and maintain strong internal relationships to identify and manage critical issues with communications impact.
Maintain a collaborative editorial calendar to manage assignments, flow and measurement.
Ensure quality through the approval process, fact checking and proofreading.
Assist in the development and execution of internal communications products and channels.
Collaborate with the creative team to create engaging pieces that support communication goals and uphold Company’s brand.
Publish approved content directly to digital communications channels.
Support other corporate communications initiatives as directed.
Minimum three years’ experience in communications or related field.
