Our collaboration software client is looking for a Copy Editor / Writer to support the product marketing manager team with their blog content and other editorial projects, to be more strategic on how they produce content. S/he will take technical product info and make it manageable for layman, but keep it at a level that current users still appreciate the updates. Looking for a tone that is knowledgeable with a bit of attitude, for content that you can apply to everyday life. This is a 6 month assignment, 20 hours/week, onsite every day in SF. There may be an option to extend the number of hours/week as the role develops!
Demonstrated ability to lead and shepard a brand or product's storytelling / narrative
3-5 years of experience in copy editing / writing
Experience writing for or has a good grasp on SaaS products, who can edit marketing copy into something consumable for top of funnel
Tech / consumer-facing editing experience
Personable, friendly, and approachable
Comfortable with coaching, advising, and giving feedback to stakeholders
Content strategy experience, a plus!
Portfolio that demonstrates technical and nontechnical writing or editing of information that is applicable to real life, products as a service, etc., e.g. blog or other published content
