The Events Coordinator will manage the participation of Google Play, Android, Chrome, Chromes OS & Flutter in various developer facing industry events, as well as coordinate logistics of developer events hosted by Platforms & Ecosystems (P&E) in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). As an Events Coordinator, you will help shape our event formats, develop and execute effective events for developers and find creative solutions for projects.
You will have experience in managing events agencies and other suppliers, with an eye for detail and stellar organizational skills. There is a highly admin component to this role. In addition to events logistics, you may occasionally also support with operations for other marketing programs and promotions.
Manage the events calendar for EMEA.
Participation at industry hosted events: you will liaise with the EMEA P&E Dev Marketing Managers, Business Development teams, other platform stakeholders and cross-functional teams as well as our speaker desk to identify what events should be part of our broader programs, based on our team’s objectives.
You will also liaise with all stakeholders to ensure that our participation runs smoothly and effectively.
Strategy: Help shape the format of the different types of events that P&E hosts for developers.
Execution: execute / support with the execution of highly effective events that communicate our brand and thought leadership to developers.
Oversee event internal and external communications: event website, emails, attendee management, etc.
Oversee event logistics: design, production, AV, agency and supplier management where applicable, etc.
Reporting: measure events for effectiveness; conduct post-event reporting and ROI analysis.
Minimum qualifications BA or BS Degree.
3 years of experience in a similar event management role.
Strong project management experience.
Exceptional budget management, organizational and follow-through skills.
Outstanding attention to detail.
Ability to work smart in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Experience delivering high production quality, high profile B2B events.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Proficient in Google Docs.
Must be willing to travel and work flexible hours.
