Job Description

We’re working exclusively with our client and are on the look out for a super duper iOS developer to join their London office and be a passionate team player. You’ll be responsible for the development and maintenance of applications aimed at a range of iOS devices including mobile phones and tablet computers.

We need you to be fully committed to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and the creation of quality products is essential.

Key responsibilities of an iOS developer;

  • ïDesign and build applications for the iOS platform
  • ïEnsure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
  • ïCollaborate with a team to define, design, and ship new features
  • ïIdentify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
  • ïHelp maintain code quality, organisation, and automatisation

Your skills;

  • ïProficient with Objective-C or Swift {{depending on project requirements}}, and Cocoa Touch
  • ïExperience with iOS frameworks such as Core Data, Core Animation, etc.
  • ïExperience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
  • ïFamiliarity with RESTful APIs to connect iOS applications to back-end services
  • ïKnowledge of other web technologies and UI/UX standards
  • ïUnderstanding of Apple’s design principles and interface guidelines
  • ïKnowledge of low-level C-based libraries is preferred
  • ïExperience with performance and memory tuning with tools {{such as Instruments and Shark, depending on project needs}}
  • ïFamiliarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications
  • ïKnack for benchmarking and optimisation
  • ïProficient understanding of code versioning tools {{such as Git, Mercurial or SVN}}
  • ïFamiliarity with continuous integration
