Job Description

Vitamin T has an EXCITING opportunity for a Creative Director in Dallas, TX.

We will only consider candidates that are local to the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversees design and development of all advertising and marketing campaigns
  • Manages creation and implementation of assets across various media types
  • Evaluates, provides feedback and approves work product of all creative team members
  • Directs and provides constant feedback to cross-discipline team of writers, designers and others
  • Create thought-provoking, eye-catching creative solutions
  • Initiates and oversees the production of radio scripts, recording, editing and delivery of work
  • Hires and directs talent both in-house, freelancers, agencies and contractors as needed
  • Coordinates with Acquisitions team to design and produce private label merchandise
  • Selects and directs special projects with photographers, illustrators or other contractors
  • Develops creative direction and production methods to execute a marketing campaign
  • Build out and deliver press-ready files with accurate specs
  • Communicate a marketing message that is on-brand and satisfies business needs
  • From concept and execution, create designs for both print and digital media
  • Collaborate with team to develop coordinated, cross-platform campaigns
  • Write copy and design materials as needed to support the team and meet deadlines
  • Ensure the team adheres to the current style guide
  • Provide direction and curate content for in-house hosted webpages
  • Contribute ideas for blog content, video and social media
  • Approve final artwork, proofs and press-checks
  • Supervise 7 to 10 direct-reports
  • Attend and participate in weekly Marketing dept and Ecom Status meetings
  • Oversee the weekly Creative team huddle to kick off each week
  • Develop presentation decks for VP of Marketing and EVP Chief Strategy Officer 
  • Assist the VP of Marketing with other projects assigned

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • BS/BA degree in advertising, communications or related field required.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in team management.
  • Advanced skill level with Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat (we run a Mac shop, and we’re on the Adobe Creative Cloud).
  • Experience supervising cross-discipline team of designers, developers, art directors, copywriters and coordinators. 
  • Portfolio art and/or copy and well-executed integrated marketing campaigns required.
  • Stunning written and verbal communication skills required.​
  • Blogging experience is a plus.
  • Basic HTML and CSS knowledge is also a plus.
  • Knowledge/experience in omni-channel retail advertising or retail marketing is preferred.
  • Familiar with specs and best practices for social media marketing and branding on platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and/or Pinterest.
  • Experience working in many mediums across print and digital media.
  • Previous in-house advertising experience.
