Job Description

Vitamin T has a Agency client with an immediate need for a Digital Asset Manager role.  This will start with a Full time Freelance assignment, with possibility to extend to a permanent role. The Digital Asset Manager is responsible for leading a small team of Art/Print Producers dedicated to the client business. This role will be “hands on” working directly on the weekly circulars while overseeing the performance of the team.


  • Source product imagery for weekly inserts circulars and related marketing/advertising tactics
  • Engage multiple product vendors for relevant images both in the physical products and in digital forms.
  • Search DAM for existing relevant images, download and organize per specific ad dates.
  • Coordinate with internal photography studio to shoot product images when required.
  • Occasionally, source stock images when requested by our client.
  • Coordinate image retouching per ad date with retouching leader to ensure schedules and budgets are adhered
  • Responsible for overall quality and approval of all circular images
  • Create instructions for up to 80 weekly unique insert versions for printing based on media plans
  • Coordinate all timings with our pre-press team and provide real time updates to all printers 
  • Coordinate with printers  for delivery of proofs ensuring both on-time delivery and quality.
  • Responsible for all production materials released from the agency.
  • Conduct weekly print reviews in order to track and maintain overall quality, color of the volume of materials printed.
  • Be the point of contact for client and printers 
  • Build appropriate detailed processes and reporting, and train/mentor team members for adherence and refinement.
  • Monitor daily, weekly and monthly production schedules, deliverables and take appropriate actions to ensure all dates are met.
  • Maintain communication with clients to manage expectations and ensure satisfaction.
  • Proactively structures team client assignments across multiple projects to maximize value to clients and ensure our production capacity levels are planned.

Professional Requirements: 

  • 6-8 years progressive experience with high volume agency print production, photography, retouching, printing, media, logistics, and printing environments.
  • Prior experience as a Print Production Supervisor / Manager, or Print Producer.
  • Highly proficient with MS Office software especially Excel, Jira, Workfront/ProofHQ, DAM/CMS systems, Smartsheets and other workflow tools.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills are required.
  • Fluency in volume Image & Asset Management, Print Production technologies, & On-Line approval systems.
  • Time-management abilities & an independent work ethic is important in the success of this role.
