Digital Production Artist 

Brief Description 
Digital Production Artist’s role is to prep digital design files for delivery to the digital content development and social media teams. You’ll work with the design team to create, refine, proof, and deliver everything we make that ends up online, including (but certainly not limited to) website graphics, emails, banners, and content pages.

Digital Production Artist’s role is to prep digital design files for delivery to the digital content development and social media teams. You’ll work with the design team to create, refine, proof, and deliver everything we make that ends up online, including (but certainly not limited to) website graphics, emails, banners, and content pages. Secondary role is to support our client's e-commerce business by resizing a multitude of product images in various sizes, basic photo retouching, and accommodating quick-turn asset updates as business needs require. This is a great opportunity for someone who loves production and graphic design alike and a keen attention to detail. The role will consist of about 70% production and 30% design work. 

Responsibilities 

  • Design, modify, update and deliver graphic files for interactive production 
  • Re-size web graphics, taking direction from initial creative 
  • Make updates to completed creative when e-commerce needs change, often with a quick turnaround 
  • Work with digital team on a consistent basis to determine changes to technical specifications, messaging or timing and react accordingly 
  • Partner with graphic designers and art directors to version creative layouts for all channels and vehicles (e.g. social, web banners, web pages, emails) 
  • Work independently to create new files, based on an established look and feel
  • Partner with project managers to manage timelines, route files and meet deadlines

Qualifications 

  • At least 5 years experience as a production artist in a creative organization
  • Very familiar with Adobe Creative suite with strong Photoshop/Illustrator skills 
  • Familiarity with current web technologies (HTML/CSS, JavaScript/jquery) and how they affect creative 
  • Proficient in Sketch 
  • Retouching skills 
  • Solid understanding of the world of web graphics, including image optimization, file size and type, and font use
  • Basic interactive design skills 
  • Highly organized with keen attention to detail
  • Ability to produce under tight deadlines 
  • Extremely flexible, with a positive attitude and desire to evolve with a growing organization
  • Effective at collaborating and building partnerships across the organization, especially with the creative and project management groups
